EDI - X6's

X6's are a type of 214 shipment status message that indicates a shipments location

Overview and Requirements

Depending on your settings every 15, 30 or 60 minutes EZ Loader will send an X6 message to BitFreighter.

X6's can be setup for a customer by adding the X6 customer value within the details section of the customer profile.

To activate the submission of X6's for a particular load the following requirements must be met:

  • X6 Customer value must be setup

  • Load must have an EDI shipment ID enetered

  • A Tracking service such as Trucker Tools or Macropoint must be active on the load (Tracking services provide the latitude and longitude value required to pass in the X6)
  • The appropriate check calls must be selected (see below)

Once all requirements are met EZ Loader will submit X6's on the following hourly schedule:

  • 6 minutes after the hour – submits X6’s for the following frequencies: 15, 30, 60
  • 21 minutes after the hour - submits X6’s for the following frequencies: 15
  • 36 minutes after the hour – submits X6’s for the following frequencies: 15, 30
  • 51 minutes after the hour – submits X6’s for the following frequencies: 15

Check Call Order for Submitting X6's

After confirming that all the necessary requirements are fulfilled, you can initiate the submission of X6 messages by selecting either the "Loaded," "Unloaded," or "Departed" check call in the origin stop card. The X6 messages will be transmitted at the chosen frequency until you select the "Arrived" check call in the destination stop card.

For Multi-Stop loads, the transmission of X6 messages will commence as soon as you select "Loaded," "Unloaded," or "Departed" in the origin stop card. The transmission will temporarily pause when the "Arrived" status is selected for Stop 1 and will resume once you select "Loaded," "Unloaded," or "Departed" for Stop 1. X6 message transmission will cease entirely when the "Arrived" status is selected for the final destination.
